About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and highly organised Childminder and Support Worker to provide exceptional care for their children in Sunderland . This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop. You will be responsible for daily routines, educational activities, meal preparation, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine love for childcare, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to supporting child development within a family setting, becoming a trusted and integral part of the household.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality childcare, ensuring the safety and emotional well-being of children.
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks for the children.
• Manage daily routines, including dressing, hygiene, naps, and bedtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for the children.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents about the children's day and development.

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare or childminding is essential.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
• First Aid certification and up-to-date DBS check are required.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A patient, nurturing, and responsible demeanour.
