This role involves creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, planning engaging activities that foster development, and working closely with parents to meet their child's individual needs. As a self-employed professional, you will manage your own schedule and client base, offering flexible care solutions within the Tyne and Wear region. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality childcare in a home setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities, including play-based learning, creative arts, and outdoor exploration.
- Monitor and support children's development, well-being, and learning, maintaining progress records.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Adhere to all legal requirements and regulations, including safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
- Manage all aspects of your childminding business, including scheduling, invoicing, and client relations.
Requirements
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g.,CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-Based Childcare or equivalent).
- Registration with Ofsted (or relevant regulatory body in Scotland/Wales if applicable) and a current DBS check.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a registered childminder or in a similar childcare role.
- Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
