Childminder Assistant (Hybrid)

About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and nurturing Childminder Assistant to support their established childcare service in Coventry . This role involves assisting a registered childminder in providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young children. You will work closely with the lead childminder, contributing to daily routines, engaging children in play-based learning, and ensuring their well-being. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-person interaction with children and some flexibility for administrative or planning tasks that can be completed remotely. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and caring for children aged 0-10 in a home-based setting.
• Prepare snacks and meals, adhering to dietary requirements and promoting healthy eating habits.
• Organise and lead age-appropriate play activities, crafts, and outings.
• Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised childcare environment, both in person and for remote preparation.

Requirements

• Previous experience or a strong interest in childcare or working with children.
• Good understanding of child safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to plan and prepare engaging activities.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
