About the Role

Our client requires a reliable and caring Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in Belfast . This role involves assisting in the care and supervision of children of various ages in a home-based setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will help with daily routines, activities, and mealtimes, providing a warm and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in supervising and caring for children in a safe and nurturing home environment.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play and learning activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Help with preparing healthy snacks and meals, and supporting children during mealtimes.
• Support with daily routines such as nappy changes, toileting, and sleep times.
• Maintain a clean and organised play area and ensure all safety measures are strictly followed.
• Communicate effectively with the registered childminder regarding the children's needs and progress.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
• A genuine interest in childcare and child development.
• Good understanding of basic safeguarding principles.
• Patience, reliability, and a caring, positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a small team.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as Paediatric First Aid.
