About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and caring Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in Cardiff . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children, assisting in the provision of high-quality childcare within a home-based setting. You will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children of various ages, supporting the lead childminder in daily activities and ensuring the well-being of every child. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in supervising and caring for children.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, and outings.
• Help prepare snacks and meals, adhering to dietary requirements and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the children.
• Support the lead childminder with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping.
• Foster positive relationships with the children and their families.

Requirements

• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential; a passion for childcare is key.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and first aid.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a flexible attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team or supporting the lead.
• Understanding of basic child development and safety principles.
