Childminder Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and caring Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in the Belfast area. This part-time position involves assisting with the daily care and supervision of a small group of children in a home-based setting. You will play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and stimulating environment that promotes children's learning and development. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in providing a safe and stimulating environment for children.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, activities, and educational experiences.
• Support children with daily routines, including feeding, nappy changing, and rest times.
• Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the childminding setting.
• Observe children's development and report any concerns to the registered childminder.
• Accompany children on outings and activities in the local community.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is preferred but not essential; a passion for childcare is key.
• A caring, patient, and responsible attitude.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Understanding of basic safeguarding principles.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as Paediatric First Aid.
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to tasks.
