Childminder Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a warm, caring, and reliable Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in Belfast . This role is integral to providing a safe, stimulating, and home-like environment for children of various ages. You will assist in daily care routines, engage children in play and learning activities, and help maintain the smooth running of the childminding setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about childcare who enjoys working in a small, nurturing environment and wants to gain valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in providing daily care for children.
• Engage children in a range of age-appropriate play activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Help prepare snacks and meals, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for all children.
• Support children's emotional development and social interaction.
• Assist with the collection and drop-off of children from school or nursery if required.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting, is an advantage.
• Genuine passion for working with children and understanding their needs.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a small team.
• Awareness of safeguarding procedures in childcare.
• A willingness to undertake training, such as Paediatric First Aid.
