About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in the Manchester area. This part-time role involves assisting with the daily care and supervision of a small group of children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and fun environment. You will work closely with the lead childminder, contributing to the planning and delivery of activities that support children's early development. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead childminder in supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities.
• Help prepare healthy snacks and meals, ensuring dietary needs and allergies are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the children, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Support children's emotional and social development through positive interaction and guidance.
• Assist with nappy changing and toileting routines when necessary.
• Collaborate with the lead childminder on observations and record-keeping for children's progress.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young children is highly desirable.
• A genuine love for working with children and a patient, caring attitude.
• Good understanding of basic childcare principles and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check and relevant safeguarding training.
