Childminder Assistant

About the Role

Our client is searching for a reliable and caring Childminder Assistant to support their established childminding service in Leeds . This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced childminders, gaining valuable experience while assisting in the provision of high-quality, home-based childcare. You will play a key part in ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment for the children, contributing to their daily routines and development, with a flexible approach that accommodates both in-person care and some administrative support from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and engaging children in a variety of play-based learning activities.
• Support with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly environment.
• Assist in documenting children's progress and daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with the lead childminder and parents about children's well-being and engagement.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of outings and special activities.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting.
• A genuine interest in child development and education.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as safeguarding and paediatric first aid.
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
