Residential Child Care Worker
Location: Lancashire
Salary: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour (dependent on qualifications) plus sleep-in allowance
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Residential rota including sleep-ins

We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Residential Child Care Workers to join a specialist residential childcare service in Lancashire. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 6 to 16, providing the stability, care, and encouragement they need to thrive.

* Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
* Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment.
* Support emotional wellbeing, personal development, and educational achievement.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and essential life skills.
* Promote positive behaviour and provide consistent guidance and support.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and safeguarding processes.
* Act as a positive role model, advocate, and mentor.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential care setting.
* Holds a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or a related subject, or is willing to work towards one.
* Is caring, resilient, patient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes.
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Holds a full UK driving licence (desirable).
