Civil Design Engineer - Transportation

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed design for highway schemes, including road geometry, drainage, and public realm elements.
• Conduct traffic surveys, capacity analyses, and impact assessments for new developments.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers and environmental consultants, to integrate designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national standards, policies, and legislation.
• Assist in the procurement and supervision of construction works, ensuring quality and adherence to design.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in transportation engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D, Keynsham, or similar design software.
• Sound knowledge of DMR, MCH, and other relevant design standards.
• Experience with project planning and delivery within a consultancy or local government environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
