Civil Design Engineer - Water Resources

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Design Engineer with expertise in Water Resources to join their team in Glasgow, Scotland, UK . You will be involved in all phases of project delivery, from initial studies and design through to construction support. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop water supply networks, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution and drainage systems.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, calculations, and specifications for water resource projects.
• Conduct site investigations and assessments related to water infrastructure.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant environmental regulations, water quality standards, and Scottish building codes.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site inspections and problem-solving.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering design, focusing on water and wastewater systems.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, InfoWorks WS Pro).
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, pipe network design, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
• Familiarity with Scottish water regulations and environmental standards.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
