Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their established practice in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the detailed design of various civil infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of schemes that enhance the built environment in the region. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed civil engineering design for a range of projects, including drainage, highways, and earthworks.
• Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Liaise with statutory undertakers, local authorities, and clients to gain necessary approvals and agreements.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and local standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Contribute to site visits and construction support where necessary.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a civil design engineering role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Familiarity with flood risk assessments and drainage design principles.
• Good understanding of UK planning and construction processes.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage individual tasks.
