Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Design Engineer to join their established team in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a key role in translating conceptual designs into practical, buildable solutions, working closely with senior engineers and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for various civil infrastructure projects.
• Perform site analysis, including topographical surveys, soil investigations, and environmental impact assessments.
• Calculate project requirements, including earthworks, drainage systems, and road alignments.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and other consultants to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant local planning regulations and building standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and construction phase support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant civil engineering design experience .
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or similar CAD software is essential.
• Understanding of drainage design principles, highway design, and general site development.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and planning procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in both remote and office environments.
