Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Design Engineer to join their esteemed engineering practice located in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role focuses on developing innovative and sustainable design solutions for a variety of civil engineering projects, ranging from urban regeneration to transportation infrastructure. You will be instrumental in translating concepts into detailed engineering plans, collaborating closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed civil engineering design for infrastructure projects, including drainage, highways, and earthworks.
• Develop and produce engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications using relevant software.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for design purposes.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and respond to technical queries during the procurement process.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential; experience with drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage) is a plus.
• Good understanding of UK planning and building regulations.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret complex engineering plans.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
