Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Design Engineer to contribute to their expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects based in Coventry . This role is essential for developing innovative and sustainable designs for a range of civil works, including transportation networks, water management systems, and urban development. You will be integral to the design phase, transforming conceptual ideas into practical, buildable plans that adhere to the highest engineering standards and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs and construction drawings for various civil infrastructure projects.
• Perform technical calculations for aspects such as drainage, earthworks, and structural elements.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards , building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential data for design development.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and project proposals.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in civil infrastructure design, preferably within the UK .
• Proficiency in relevant CAD and civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage).
• Good understanding of geotechnical principles and structural analysis.
• Ability to interpret and apply BS/EN standards and other relevant codes of practice.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
