About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join their progressive team in Wolverhampton . This hybrid role will involve contributing to the design phase of a variety of civil engineering projects, requiring a strong understanding of infrastructure development. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to produce high-quality designs that meet client requirements and regulatory standards. This is an ideal position for an engineer looking to enhance their design skills and project experience within a supportive and forward-thinking company, serving clients across the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed civil engineering designs for sites, including drainage, earthworks, and utility infrastructure.
Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications using CAD and other design software.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design development.
Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
Collaborate with project teams, both in the office and remotely, to coordinate design efforts.
Assist in the tendering process by preparing design documentation for bids.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience in civil design, with a focus on site development and infrastructure.
Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D, or similar design software is essential.
Understanding of UK drainage design standards and flood risk management principles.
Good communication and teamwork skills, capable of working in a hybrid model.
Familiarity with CDM regulations and construction best practices.
