About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to contribute to their growing engineering practice based in Coventry . This role focuses on the technical design and planning of various civil engineering schemes, requiring a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of engineering principles. You will work closely with project managers and senior engineers to develop innovative and practical solutions for a range of infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects, including roadworks, drainage, and site development.
- Create and review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and project objectives.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and provide support during the construction phase.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
- Identify potential design challenges and propose effective solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on infrastructure or land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant civil engineering design and analysis software.
- Understanding of UK planning regulations, building standards, and highway design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential.
