Civil Engineer - Site Development

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Civil Engineer to join their team in Sheffield , focusing on site development and infrastructure design. You will be responsible for the detailed design of roads, drainage systems, and associated infrastructure for various land development projects. This role requires a blend of technical design skills and the ability to coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop site infrastructure, including highways, access roads, and drainage networks.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for planning submissions and construction.
• Liaise with local authorities and statutory undertakers to obtain necessary approvals and agreements.
• Undertake site inspections and provide construction support as required.
• Utilize CAD software to produce accurate design documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK planning policy, building regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in infrastructure design for development projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civils 3D software.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles and UK water regulations.
• Good understanding of Section 38 and Section 104 adoption processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid capacity, attending the Sheffield office as needed.
