About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Civil Engineer to join their team in Sheffield , focusing on site development and infrastructure design. You will be responsible for the detailed design of roads, drainage systems, and associated infrastructure for various land development projects. This role requires a blend of technical design skills and the ability to coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. It's a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to grow their experience in a dynamic and supportive consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop site infrastructure, including highways, access roads, and drainage networks.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for planning submissions and construction.
- Liaise with local authorities and statutory undertakers to obtain necessary approvals and agreements.
- Undertake site inspections and provide construction support as required.
- Utilize CAD software to produce accurate design documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with current UK planning policy, building regulations, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in infrastructure design for development projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civils 3D software.
- Knowledge of drainage design principles and UK water regulations.
- Good understanding of Section 38 and Section 104 adoption processes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid capacity, attending the Sheffield office as needed.
