Civil Engineer - Site Development

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent Civil Engineer to join their site development team in Sheffield . This role focuses on the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure for new developments, including roads, sewers, and earthworks. You will be responsible for ensuring that site designs meet all regulatory requirements and are technically sound, efficient, and cost-effective. Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare construction drawings for site infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and utilities.
• Perform calculations for earthworks, stormwater management, and grading plans.
• Ensure designs comply with local planning policies, building regulations, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and other consultants involved in development projects.
• Manage the tendering process for civil works and oversee construction supervision.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and address any design-related issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil site development engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design software.
• Good understanding of drainage design, earthworks, and road alignment principles.
• Familiarity with UK planning and building regulations related to development.
