Civil Engineering Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to support their engineering teams in Reading . This hybrid role combines office-based design work with essential on-site visits for surveys and inspections. You will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into practical construction drawings and documentation, using your technical expertise to ensure project accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and sections using CAD software.
• Assist engineers with design calculations and technical assessments for civil engineering projects.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather data and verify existing conditions.
• Ensure that all drawings and documentation comply with current standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports and other technical documentation.

Requirements

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other relevant CAD software.
• Experience in preparing engineering drawings for infrastructure, land development, or construction projects.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct site visits and surveys independently.
