Civil Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role focuses on the design and project management of infrastructure projects, including highways, drainage, and public realm schemes. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility and conceptual design through to detailed design, construction support, and handover. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop infrastructure projects, including road layouts, drainage systems, and utility connections.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for design development.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and local regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Liaise with clients, statutory bodies, and other consultants to coordinate design efforts.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, responding to queries and reviewing site progress.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage.
• Knowledge of highways design standards (e.g., DMRB) and drainage design principles.
• Familiarity with Section 104 , Section 38 , and Section 278 adoption procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
