Civil Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their established team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role focuses on the design and delivery of critical infrastructure projects, including transportation networks, water management systems, and utilities. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, and public realm improvements.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with clients, local authorities, and construction teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Undertake feasibility studies and option appraisals for new infrastructure schemes.
• Ensure all designs comply with current UK regulations, standards, and environmental best practices.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in infrastructure design, ideally with a focus on highways or drainage.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and relevant design analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles and drainage design standards.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
