Civil Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their dedicated team in the coastal city of Southampton . This role focuses on the design and project management of essential infrastructure works, including highways, drainage, and utility networks. You will play a key role in developing sustainable and efficient infrastructure solutions that support local communities and economic growth. This position is ideal for an engineer looking to contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative environment, working on projects vital to the development of Hampshire and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop infrastructure projects, including road layouts , drainage systems, and public realm enhancements.
• Undertake site assessments, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and local standards and environmental regulations.
• Manage project delivery from inception through to construction, coordinating with stakeholders and contractors.
• Liaise with statutory undertakers and local authorities on planning and design matters.
• Contribute to the production of tender documents and construction drawings.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and drainage design packages.
• Good understanding of highways, drainage design , and Section 38/278 agreements.
• Experience working with local authorities and utility companies is beneficial.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
