Civil Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Civil Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to their expanding operations in Plymouth . This role focuses on the design, planning, and delivery of essential infrastructure projects that support community development and economic growth. You will work on a variety of schemes, including highways, drainage systems, and site development, ensuring they are robust, sustainable, and compliant with all regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop road layouts, drainage networks, and associated infrastructure for new developments.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD and other relevant software.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design solutions.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant planning requirements, highway standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and construction teams to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and address any site-related issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
• Good understanding of highway design principles and statutory requirements (e.g., Section 278 agreements).
• Familiarity with environmental considerations and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication abilities.
