Civil Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Civil Project Engineer to join their busy team in Cambridge . This role will involve managing and coordinating the technical aspects of various civil engineering projects, from initial planning stages through to construction and completion. You will work closely with site teams, designers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a good understanding of civil engineering principles, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving in a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering projects.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct site inspections to oversee progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Manage project documentation, including progress reports, site records, and change orders.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies that arise during the construction phase.
• Ensure all project activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering or construction project management.
• Basic knowledge of project management principles and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering design principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both office and site environments.
