About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural design calculations and produce detailed drawings for various building types (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
• Perform analysis of structures under various loading conditions using structural analysis software.
• Liaise with architects, clients, and contractors to ensure designs meet project requirements and timelines.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve any structural issues that arise.
• Ensure compliance with current building regulations, British Standards, and other relevant codes of practice.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians within the structural design team.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit).
• Good understanding of building materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.
• Familiarity with relevant UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
