Civils Quality Engineer

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Civils Quality Engineer on a 6-month contract located in Suffolk.

A Tier 1 substation contractor needs a civils Quality Engineer for a substation project. It’s a hands-on site role covering the civils packages, and you’ll be on site every day.

What you’ll be doing:

• Inspecting foundations, cable troughs, drainage and substation buildings against the ITPs

• Pre-pour checks, rebar and formwork inspections, and signing off hold points

• Managing test records (cubes, compaction, plate bearing) and following up on failed results

• Raising and closing out NCRs with subcontractors

• Building up as-built and completion records ready for handover

What you’ll need:

• Site-based civils quality experience, ideally on power, substation or heavy infrastructure projects

• A good working knowledge of ITPs, NCRs and civils test requirements

• A valid CSCS card

• The ability to commute to site every day

Nice to have:

• National Grid or other transmission-owner experience

• Experience with Zutec, Novade, BIM 360 or Procore

• SMSTS or SSSTS
