Civils Supervisor

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Civils Supervisor on a 9 Month Contract, located in Kent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civils activities on site, including groundworks, foundations, drainage, ducting, cable routes and concrete works

• Direct and coordinate gangs, operatives and subcontractors to meet programme and quality requirements

• Brief teams on method statements, risk assessments and permits to work, and make sure they are followed

• Check works against drawings and specifications, and raise any issues or clashes promptly

• Carry out and record inspections, including quality checks, hold points and sign-offs

• Promote and enforce site health, safety and environmental standards, and lead by example

• Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and progress reports

• Liaise with the site manager, engineers, the client and other contractors

Requirements

• Previous civils supervisory experience on converter stations

• Valid CSCS card

• SSSTS or SMSTS (valid and in date)

• Right to work in the UK

• Ability to read and work from civils drawings and specifications

• Experience on HVDC or other major energy, substation or utilities projects

• First aid at work certificate

• Temporary works awareness

• CPCS, NPORS or other plant qualifications

• Experience with groundworks and concrete works for heavy electrical infrastructure

• Full UK driving licence
