In this critical role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims efficiently and fairly, ensuring adherence to policy terms and company procedures. You will serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders during the claims process, providing clear communication and support. Key Responsibilities
- Investigate insurance claims thoroughly by gathering evidence, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing documentation.
- Assess policy coverage and determine liability, making fair and accurate settlement recommendations.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate claim files, documenting all activities and decisions made.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and company policies throughout the claims process.
- Provide empathetic and clear communication to policyholders, guiding them through the claims procedure.
Requirements
- Experience in claims handling or a related role within the insurance industry.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
- A solid understanding of insurance policies, legal requirements, and claims procedures relevant to the UK market.
