Class 1 HGV Driver - Multi-drop

About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and professional Class 1 HGV Driver to undertake multi-drop delivery routes across the North East region from their depot in Sunderland . This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of responsibility for the safe transportation of goods and the efficient completion of delivery schedules. You will be an integral part of our logistics network, ensuring that our clients' products reach their destinations reliably and on time. The successful candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to manage their workload effectively throughout the day, contributing to a robust and dependable delivery service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with all regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects immediately.
• Execute multi-drop deliveries and collections across various locations, ensuring timely arrival.
• Manage loading and unloading procedures, ensuring cargo is secured correctly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery and collection points.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 HGV license (Category C+E).
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 1 HGVs, preferably with multi-drop experience.
• Good knowledge of Sunderland and the surrounding areas.
• Excellent driving record and commitment to road safety.
