Class 1 HGV Driver - Regional Haulage

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to manage regional haulage operations from their depot in Sunderland . You will be responsible for transporting goods between various distribution hubs and key client sites across the North East of England. This role demands a high level of professionalism, reliability, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Transport goods using a Class 1 HGV , adhering to all delivery schedules and routes.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle and trailer to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Secure loads correctly and efficiently to prevent movement during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operational teams regarding delivery status and any potential issues.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E).
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digi-card.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Class 1 HGV driver.
• Thorough knowledge of UK road networks , particularly the North East.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
