Class 1 HGV Driver - Regional Haulage

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and professional Class 1 HGV Driver to join their expanding road haulage team based in Birmingham . This role involves regular regional transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups across the UK. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle safely and efficiently for regional distribution routes.
• Ensure all loads are correctly secured and documented according to company procedures and legal requirements.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or defects to the fleet manager.
• Adhere to driving hours regulations and maintain accurate driver logbooks.
• Deliver and collect goods from various customer sites, ensuring professional conduct at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding route progress and any potential delays.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence (Category C+E) and a valid Driver CPC card.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks, particularly in the Midlands region .
• A strong understanding of health and safety regulations in transport.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
