About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and dependable Class 2 HGV Driver to contribute to their expanding goods distribution network in Cardiff . This role is essential for ensuring the prompt and secure delivery of goods to businesses across Wales. The successful candidate will operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle safely and efficiently for deliveries and collections throughout the designated region, including Cardiff and surrounding areas.
• Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks, including safety equipment and load security, reporting any defects immediately.
• Adhere to all legal requirements regarding driving hours, tachograph regulations, and road safety standards.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, obtaining necessary proof of delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle assigned.
• Provide a professional point of contact for customers upon delivery and collection.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence (Category C).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification and valid tachograph card.
• A minimum of 1 year's experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
• Understanding of goods distribution logistics and customer service best practices in the Cardiff area.
