Clinical Research Associate (CRA)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join their dynamic clinical operations team based in Birmingham . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of clinical trials, overseeing site management, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a key part in bringing innovative pharmaceutical treatments to patients, working closely with investigative sites and internal project teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about clinical research, possesses excellent organizational skills, and thrives in a role that requires travel and independent problem-solving within the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits according to protocol and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of clinical data collection and reporting.
• Verify the eligibility of trial participants and ensure adherence to study protocols.
• Manage relationships with investigators and site staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Identify, document, and escalate study conduct issues and risks to the clinical operations manager.
• Prepare and maintain essential regulatory documents for trial sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate or in a similar clinical trial management role.
• Thorough understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Proven experience in site monitoring, data review, and regulatory documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to clinical trial sites within the Birmingham area and surrounding regions.
