Clinical Research Associate - Oncology

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site initiation, interim, and close-out monitoring visits in accordance with protocol and GCP guidelines.
• Ensure accurate and timely collection, verification, and reporting of clinical trial data.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical investigative sites, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Verify compliance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and data integrity standards.
• Prepare and maintain trial-related documentation, including source documents and case report forms.
• Support the regulatory submission process by ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate, with a strong focus on oncology trials.
• In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to clinical sites as required within the Birmingham area and occasionally further afield.
