About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to join their innovative technology team in Southampton . This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud environments across various platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will be responsible for defining security best practices, developing architectural patterns, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based assets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a passion for building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cloud security architectures that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines for cloud environments.
- Lead the integration of security services within cloud solutions, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
- Conduct security reviews of cloud architectures and deployments, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement DevSecOps practices and automate security controls.
- Stay current with cloud security trends, emerging threats, and new security technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security, with at least 4 years focused on cloud security architecture and engineering.
- Proven experience designing and securing cloud environments on major platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, and security services.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
