Cloud Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud solutions for their operations in Portsmouth . This role is critical in ensuring that cloud infrastructure and services meet the highest security standards. You will be responsible for developing cloud security strategies, defining security controls, and guiding cloud adoption initiatives. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a proven track record of building robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments, contributing to the company's digital transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate security risks associated with cloud deployments and services.
• Oversee the implementation of cloud security tools, including IAM, network security, and data protection solutions.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering and operations teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the cloud lifecycle.
• Provide expert advice on cloud security matters to technical and business stakeholders in Portsmouth .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security .
• Proven expertise in architecting and securing cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native security tools and services.
• Knowledge of container security, serverless security, and DevSecOps practices.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or CCSP are highly preferred.
