About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join their growing technology team in the Cambridge area. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls and best practices within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based assets, working collaboratively with DevOps and engineering teams to build secure and scalable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a cloud security expert to contribute to a modern, technology-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce security policies and configurations for cloud infrastructure and services.
- Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Implement and manage security tools for monitoring, logging, and threat detection in the cloud.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Respond to security incidents in cloud environments and assist in recovery efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or in a similar cloud security role.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
