Cloud Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join their expanding IT team in Oxford . This role is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of their cloud environments, including major platforms like AWS and Azure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls, responding to cloud-based threats, and collaborating with infrastructure teams to maintain a robust security posture. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct security assessments of cloud infrastructure and services, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Implement and manage security tools for monitoring, logging, and threat detection in the cloud.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents occurring within the cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of cloud services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in cloud security , with hands-on experience in major cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management (IAM), and data security principles.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27017).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and security automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
