About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Cloud Security Specialist to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure environments. You will design, implement, and manage security controls, architect secure cloud solutions, and respond to cloud-specific security incidents. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from any location within the UK while making a significant impact on our cloud security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Develop and maintain secure cloud architecture blueprints and best practices.
- Conduct security assessments of cloud services and applications, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Implement and manage cloud security tools, such as WAF, security groups, IAM, and security monitoring solutions.
- Respond to and investigate cloud security incidents, providing timely resolution.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure deployment of cloud resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud security , with hands-on experience in AWS and Azure security.
- Proficiency in cloud security best practices, IAM, network security, and data encryption in the cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and security automation in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security concepts.
