Cloud Solutions Architect - Azure Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with a specialization in Azure to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions in Wolverhampton . This strategic role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex requirements into robust cloud architectures. You will be responsible for defining cloud strategies, overseeing migration projects, and ensuring best practices in cloud governance, security, and operations. The ideal candidate is a thought leader in cloud technologies, with a proven track record of designing and delivering successful Azure-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform , ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Develop migration strategies and roadmaps for moving existing workloads to Azure.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, security, governance, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to implement and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate and recommend new Azure services and technologies to enhance solutions and drive innovation.
• Document architectural designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years focused on cloud solutions .
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex Azure environments (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud strategies, enterprise architecture, and security frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
