About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Solutions Architect to spearhead their cloud strategy and infrastructure initiatives. This fully remote position involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. You will be instrumental in guiding the technical direction of cloud adoption, ensuring our client remains at the forefront of technological innovation. This role requires deep expertise in cloud technologies and a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex architectural challenges from anywhere in the UK .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure roadmaps, governance policies, and best practices.
- Lead the migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on cloud-native architectures and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance performance and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, databases, and containerization technologies within cloud contexts.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, essential for a remote role.
