About the Role

Our client seeks a strategic and technically adept Cloud Solutions Architect to join their Edinburgh-based team, operating on a hybrid model. You will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that meet diverse business needs. This role involves deep engagement with stakeholders, translating complex requirements into robust cloud architectures, and guiding engineering teams through the implementation process. Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive cloud architecture solutions based on client requirements, leveraging best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) to meet specific business and technical needs.
• Develop migration strategies and roadmaps for moving existing systems to the cloud.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams during implementation.
• Ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant, and cost-optimized.
• Document architectural designs, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a significant focus on cloud platforms.
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management concepts.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
