Cloud Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for defining cloud strategy, architecting cloud environments, and guiding development teams in adopting best practices. This senior role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, services, and best practices across major cloud platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, driving digital transformation initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions on platforms like AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• Develop comprehensive cloud migration strategies and roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams on cloud best practices.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet business requirements.
• Ensure solutions are designed for security, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing and deploying complex solutions on one or more major cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking , security, identity and access management, and data storage solutions.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
