About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cloud Solutions Architect to join their expanding IT infrastructure team in Sunderland . In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and translate them into robust architectural designs, driving innovation and optimizing cloud adoption. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints, technical roadmaps, and implementation plans for cloud migrations and deployments.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing management of cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, governance, and cost optimization strategies.
• Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or in a similar senior technical role.
• In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP ) and their respective services.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures , microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management principles in a cloud context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
