About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Club Manager to oversee the operations of a premier fitness centre in Manchester . This leadership position involves managing all aspects of the club, including staff, sales, member retention, facility maintenance, and financial performance, to ensure a welcoming and high-quality experience for all members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the fitness industry, exceptional people management skills, and a passion for driving business growth while maintaining a positive and engaging club atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage all club staff, including fitness instructors, sales teams, and administrative personnel, ensuring high standards of service.
- Drive membership sales and retention strategies to achieve and exceed club targets.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fitness centre, ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Develop and manage the club's budget, controlling costs and maximizing revenue streams.
- Implement and maintain high standards of customer service, addressing member feedback and resolving issues promptly.
- Organize and promote club events, challenges, and activities to enhance member engagement and community spirit.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in club management or a senior leadership role within the fitness or leisure industry.
- Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and member retention strategies.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and P&L management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in fitness instruction or a related field is a plus.
