Job Description
Adeptus is recruiting for a CNC Miller to join our established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical engineering who is looking to develop their skills within a precision manufacturing environment. Experience within an Aerospace engineering environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts (Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm | Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
The Role:
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting and operating HAAS CNC milling machines, producing high-quality precision components to customer drawings and specifications.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Setting and operating HAAS 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
* Carrying out in-cycle inspection and verification of components produced.
* Working from customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing route cards and process instructions.
* Following inspection procedures to ensure product conformity.
* Maintaining accurate documentation and records of machining activities.
* Operating multiple CNC machines where possible to maximise efficiency and productivity.
* Using a range of precision measuring equipment to check component quality.
* Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
* Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of manufacturing processes.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous:
* CNC Milling
* CNC machining
* HAAS CNC machines
* 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining
* Precision engineering
* Aerospace manufacturing
* Engineering drawings
* Micrometers
* Verniers
* Shadowgraph inspection
* Hard gauging
* In-process inspection
* Route cards and process instructions
* Quality control and component verification
