Location: Gloucester
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Day Shift
Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 DOE
Are you an experienced CNC Setter/Operator looking for a permanent day-shift position with overtime, ongoing development and genuine long-term stability? An established and growing precision engineering company in Gloucester is looking to recruit a skilled CNC Setter/Operator. You will join a supportive team within a clean, professional and well-organised machine shop, producing high-quality precision components for a range of industries.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, ensuring components are manufactured accurately, efficiently and in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards and production requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist seeking a stable day-shift role with a consistent workload and opportunities to develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC machines
Adjusting tool offsets and completing minor program edits
Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
Completing first-off and in-process inspections
Using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other measuring equipment
Monitoring machining processes to maintain quality and efficiency
Working safely and meeting production deadlines
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment Skills and Experience
Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience using precision measuring equipment
Experience machining materials such as aluminium, stainless steel or mild steel
Good understanding of tolerances and quality requirements
Strong attention to detail
