Job Description
Job Purpose
To prepare materials for powder coating in line with internal specifications, ensuring uninterrupted production while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, tolerances and operational performance.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare and set up tools and equipment for shot blasting and surface preparation.
Operate shot blasting and material preparation processes to SA 2.5 standards.
Carry out visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
Fill, sand and smooth surfaces prior to coating.
Maintain equipment and carry out routine maintenance.
Follow all safety procedures and Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs).
Communicate operational status and report any deviations or issues.
Inspect prepared parts to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Work to agreed output targets and production deadlines.
Operate other production equipment as required to meet engineering specifications.
Report production issues and support resolution activities.
Support, coach and train other employees when required.
Identify and suggest quality and productivity improvements.
Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Department Manager.Shift Pattern
Days: Monday-Thursday, 07:00-16:00 | Friday, 07:00-13:00
Late: Monday-Thursday, 16:00-02:00
